With the Planck CreatorSSD, you can record Apple ProRes directly to external storage. It supports up to 4K/120 on iPhone 16/17 Pro and 4K/60 on iPhone 15 Pro. No need to worry about your phone's internal storage limits - you can keep your takes rolling longer and maintain capture integrity even during demanding shoots. Unlike desktop-oriented SSDs, which are tuned for short peak bursts, Planck is optimised for continuous high-bitrate writing. The Planck CreatorSSD offers NVMe performance up to 1050 MB/s (USB 3.2 Gen 2), providing a generous overhead beyond the ~440 MB/s throughput ProRes 4K/120 can demand. This speed is beneficial post-shoot as well, facilitating fast offloads to your laptop and smoother edits when you need to quickly turn around content. Additionally, its ThermalCore cooling system uses internal thermal pads and an integrated heat sink to dissipate heat, ensuring steady performance and fewer slowdowns due to thermal throttling.
